Daily Market (fruit and vegetables)
Having visited markets up and down the Croatian coast that at Trogir is consistently the best we have found. From early in the morning raged and irregular sun umbrellas pop up to shade the concrete tables that make up the Fruit and Vegetable section and people come from all around the surrounding area to sell crops and processed goods such as olive oil, wine and plum brandy.
Prices are better than reasonable, you can always find good quality plentifully available whether you buy at the first reasonable looking stall or browse them all first. Even if you are not intending to buy anything it is well worth a walk through.
Closer to the shore of the Trogir kanal the concrete slab tables give way to more permenant stores that are the home to both tourist stalls and more traditional clothing, shoe and hardware stalls as well as small bars and cafes.
Trogir: on the landward side of the Trogir Kanal to the west of the bus station between the road bridge and the footbridge onto the island where Trogir old town sits.
