Konoba Ankora: Luka Polace
This restaurant is listed as the best of the crop in Polace by the current Lonely Planet but was distinctly disappointing during our visit in 2011. The Ankora has 4 buoys in the bay and also seems to control the harbour wall to the west of the Ferry pier where there are 15 berths with power and water.
Though mooring at these two locations is free, the price is in the cost of a meal at the Konoba. The menu is typically Dalmatian but was limited during our visit. Portions were average in size and the quality was reasonable but nothing special. Unfortunately the cost did not match the offer being overly expensive for what was on the plate.
Service, friendly but inattentive, is on a terrace that overlooks the Ankora Harbour Wall which was full during our visit, meaning that by the end of our meal we felt the pressure to vacate our table.
Going by the rule of the best establishment being the most busy establishment, the Konoba Ankora was the most popular restaurant in Polace. What this says for the other eateries in the Village we are not sure.
