Bar Corte, Trogir
In the heart of Trogir old town there are two main squares with bars in them. These are the square at the junction of Ivana Dukovica and Grandska and the Trg Ivana Pavla II by the cathedral. Both of these areas are heavy with tourists and on the whole one option is as good as the next. We find however that the first (where there are 3-4 bars) tends to be very busy and almost claustrophobic with little sun because of the high buildings surrounding it, while the main square by the cathedral is more open and sunny.
Though this is the very centre of tourist Trogir the Bar Corte offers good value with prices for coffee and drinks which compare competitively with any in the city. Bar Corte is just that (a bar) it offers the full range of drinks but little else, but if you just want to get off your feet for a little while and grab a beer or a coffee it is a great option. You can watch the world go by, admire the cathedral, the clock tower and the historic logia and in the evening there is a cocktail bar with music set up right in the seating area.
If however you want ice cream it is worth considering taking a minutes walk through the narrow covered section of Gradska (to the left of the Corte seating) and into the second square where several of the bars also have extensive ice cream menus and will serve both seated customers and also those who intend to take away.
