Vis Town, Viska Luka
Located on the western side of Viska Luka bay, the harbour wall of Vis town is backed by a quite road and the main promenade of the town. Lazy-lines are laid on as is power and water and there is usually a a member of harbour staff on hand to offer a friendly and helpful service with mooring in 3-6 metres of water and to collect fees.
Vis town is less sheltered than Kut and is susceptible to to the uncomfortable swell caused by south-easterly weather. This part of Vis Town is more vibrant than Kut and has a lively night life amongst the water front bars and restaurants that many will enjoy but some might find noisy at night. Between Vis Town and Kut over 70 yachts can be accommodated so there is usually space for all in the bay. Anchoring is no longer allowed in the inner bay but good spots can be found further out.
During the summer Vis Town is a Port of Entry, with moorings by the Ferry Dock at the western end of the harbour wall. The Harbour Office is opposite the ferry dock.
