Otok Zirje, Uvala Stupica Vela
Located at the southern end of the Zirje Otok this large bay is handy both for those heading north towards the Kornati and those heading south either out of Sibenik or from the National Park. It makes a good stop over both for lunch and swimming or over-night.
Facing south it offers good shelter from the Bora and its northwestern arm offers reasonable all round shelter though the who bay is exposed to the south-east. In the western arm there are a number of mooring buoys laid by the proprietor of the restaurant at the head of the bay.
The bottom is sand, stone and weed and generally the holding is considered to be unreliable. Anchor in 4-10 metres. When approaching the bay be aware of a spit of sand that shallows from 3-0 metres at the eastern side of the entrance.

Depths: 5-10 metres
Bottom: Sand with patches of stone and weed
Holding: considered unreliable
Hazards: sand bar on the east side of the entrance
Shore Access: Small jetty at the north-west side
